This January 2022, 3 years after Vale's crime in Brumadinho is completed, Minas Gerais is the scene of more socio-environmental impacts and threats from mining, this time Vallourec.
As always, the state government, the Secretary of State for the Environment and Sustainable Development (Semad) and the Chamber of Mining Activities (CMI) of the State Council for Environmental Policy (Copam) are at the service of mining companies. This video presents the licensing of the expansion of the tailings/sterile co-disposal pile where slopes collapsed and the material that descended was not contained by the Dique Lisa that overflowed on January 8, as widely reported.
Enough of impunity!

Crime retrospective
Chaos, pain, perplexity and impunity
It was a crime! It was no accident.

Resistance memory
Video (9 minutes) made by the Águas e Serras Casa Branca Movement and the Associação Comunitária Jangada, from January / 2020, which talks about 10 years of hard work and dedication of the communities against Vale in Brumadinho.
It is an important historical record of the struggle that already exposed the mining company's stance and concern about the risks of the Feijão / Jangada complex.
